Shipping & Returns

Return Policy

We stand behind the products we provide. If you have a return, please review our policy below and under no circumstances should you ship without following the Returns Process below.

Defective product:

  • you can return it to us within 60 days of delivery. 
  • the item must be unused, unmarked, and accompanied with the original packaging. 
  • we will arrange for prepaid pick-up via UPS or FedEx.
  • the item is then inspected to determine what is defective.
  • once issue is confirmed, a replacement item will be sent at no additional cost.

Incorrect product (our error):

  • you can return it to us within 60 days of delivery. Returns received after 30 days may be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
  • the item must be unused, unmarked, and accompanied with the original packaging. 
  • we will arrange for prepaid pick-up via UPS or FedEx.
  • the item is then inspected to determine it was sent in error.
  • once issue is confirmed, a replacement item will be sent at no additional cost.

Incorrect product (customer error/no longer needed)

  • all Residential shipments are sold on a “Final Sale” basis only. No cancellations, returns, or credits are allowed.
  • you may return any incorrect product with Availability listed as a Stock Item within 60 days. If Availability is anything other "Stock Item" there may be restrictions (see below).
  • all returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee on the item, 35% if received after 30 days. 
  • freight charged to the customer is not refundable.
  • all items must be in the original packaging, unused, undamaged, and in saleable condition. 
  • return shipping is the customer's responsibility and will not be accepted if shipped C.O.D.
  • once the item is inspected and approved, you will receive store credit which you can use toward purchasing the correct item.

The product types below have the following return restrictions:

  • Manufacturer Direct or Mfr Direct: these products are subject to manufacturer restrictions and typically are not returnable. 
  • 14-21 days or 10-15 business days: these products are special ordered and not returnable.
  • Expiration dated products: these products will only be accepted if the remaining shelf life is 12 months or greater and the item does not require refrigeration. All items must be in the original container and free of labels and other markings. Certain manufacturer restrictions may apply.
  • Hazardous materials
  • Pharmaceutical Pedigree: these products are not returnable.
  • Upholstered items (i.e. Tables, Stools, Chairs): these products are not returnable.
  • Hygienic items (i.e. Bath Safety items such as Raised Toilet Seats): all returns must be unopened and in the original box. 
  • Discontinued items: if the item you ordered has become discontinued at any time it is not returnable.
  • Custom products: sold on a “Final Sale” basis only. No cancellations, returns, or credits are allowed.  

 

Returns Process: there is no need to call us for authorization. Simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. Please let us know if you would like a credit or a replacement product.

Once you have done this, please follow the instructions below to assure prompt handling:

  • we will review your request and send you a completed Return Goods Authorization (RGA) form within three business days.
  • carefully package the item(s) and utilize an outer shipping box when appropriate to ensure the original packaging is not damaged. 
  • you must include your RGA form with your returned item.
  • your RGA form will provide you with the shipping information.
  • it is imperative that you provide us with the tracking number.
  • under no circumstances should you ship without following the instructions above.

When the item is received by the appropriate party, it will be inspected typically within two business days. You can expect an e-mail from us notifying you if the product has been accepted. Upon acceptance we will immediately credit your Careforde account or send a replacement product as you have requested. We reserve the right to reject any return that does not comply with the terms of this policy.  

 

Shipping Policy

Costs & Methods

We ship most orders via Fed Ex or UPS Ground, but may ship via LTL Freight Carrier based on your location, item type, and order size. In addition, we offer next day delivery for many of our products. Please contact us to inquire further regarding a next day delivery request

Parcel: free UPS or FedEx ground parcel shipping on orders over $250* within the continental United States. Orders under $250 have a flat shipping cost.

*Exceptions: the following will incur an additional freight charge which we will notify you of via email:

    • Oversized or bulk items (ship LTL)
    • Hazardous materials (can only ship LTL and also have separate hazard fee)
    • Residential deliveries when applicable
    • Overnight or Next Day delivery
    • Pharmaceutical and other items requiring overnight shipment or special packing (e.g. dry ice)
    • Shipments outside of continental U.S.
    • If you prefer to use your own FedEx or UPS account, there will be a $19.95 surcharge for orders under $250.

Freight (LTL): customer pays costs which are invoiced via email. LTL freight ships "Dock to Dock".  See additional charges below if you do not have a loading dock. Orders that may ship LTL are: 

► Oversized    ► Bulk orders    ► Items requiring pallet    ► Large orders where LTL is deemed Best Method

Additional Charges: these services if required or requested have an extra cost which we will email you. Cost varies by logistics provider.
  • Liftgate: oversized and bulk items or large, palleted orders require a loading dock. If you do not have a loading dock, a delivery vehicle with a lift gate is required to lower your order to ground level. All Residential LTL orders will ship this method.
  • Inside Delivery: oversized and bulk items or large, palleted orders will be delivered to your receiving area. If you wish for your order to be delivered elsewhere in your facility this service is required.
  • White Glove: this service will include unpackaging and removal of shipping packaging. In some cases this may also include assembly. We will notify you via email with the type of service provided by the logistics company. 

Overnight Shipping: customer pays costs which are invoiced via email. We can accommodate this request for most products:

    • Orders must be received via Phone before 12pm EST. 
    • Online orders or faxed POs require phone verification and may miss the 12pm EST deadline.
    • There is an additional $19.95 handling fee.
    • We must be able to confirm "Ship to" company and address.
    • Some products not available for overnight shipment due to restrictions or availability.
    • We can not guarantee Overnight shipment of "Mfr. Direct or Manufacturer Direct" products because they ship direct from manufacturer and not our own facility. There is the potential for an overnight shipment in this case to be delayed 1-2 days.

 

Destination

Continental U.S.: 

  • Free UPS or FedEx ground parcel shipping on orders over $250*. 
  • Orders under $250 have a flat shipping cost.

Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and US Territories:

  • A $19.95 handling fee is applied to all orders 
  • Freight costs will be invoiced and paid by the client. 
  • We will authorize your credit card for your order plus an additional flat shipping fee which is based on your order total. Once your order ships you will be notified the next business day via e-mail of the actual shipping costs and charged appropriately. Shipping rates to these destinations will be charged at our discounted UPS or FedEx rates.

Canada: 

  • Some products are not available for sale. If applicable, we will send email notification within 24 hours.
  • A $19.95 handling fee is applied to all orders.
  • Freight costs will be invoiced and paid by the client. We can use client's UPS or FedEx account for parcel shipments.
  • All applicable Duties, Taxes, and 3rd party fees are customer's responsibility.
  • We will authorize your credit card for your order plus an additional flat shipping fee which is based on your order total. Once your order ships you will be notified the next business day via e-mail of the actual shipping costs and charged appropriately. Shipping rates to these destinations will be charged at our discounted UPS or FedEx rates.

International:

  • Some products or countries may be prohibited. If applicable, we will send email notification within 24 hours.
  • Some countries may be limited solely to bulk orders. If applicable, we will send email notification within 24 hours.
  • A $19.95 handling fee is applied to all orders 
  • Freight costs will be invoiced and paid by the client. We can use client's UPS or FedEx account for parcel shipments.
  • All applicable Duties, Taxes, and 3rd party fees are customer's responsibility.
  • We will authorize your credit card for your order plus an additional flat shipping fee which is based on your order total. Once your order ships you will be notified the next business day via e-mail of the actual shipping costs and charged appropriately. Shipping rates to these destinations will be charged at our discounted UPS or FedEx rates.

 

Fulfillment and Transit Times

Fulfillment: Over 80% of the 3,000,000 products we carry are readily available in Illinois, California, Texas, Georgia, or the manufacturer's distribution centers. Other items will have an estimated 14-21 day (10-15 business day) fulfillment period on special and custom orders. However, we are happy to stock non-custom items for you in the future to ensure quick fulfillment.  

If a product is on backorder, you will be notified within 24 hours with an expected fulfillment time. You will have the option of awaiting fulfillment, canceling, or exchanging for a suggested alternative product option.

Tracking: once your order is shipped we will send you a notification e-mail with tracking. You can also obtain your tracking number by logging into your account and reviewing order details.

Shipping Times: we have provided three transit maps below which provide an outline as to normal Ground shipping times for parcel shipments in the U.S.  Please note that UPS and FedEx do not count the shipment date as a day.
